Look what i got

Ok so my Chihuahua had 1 puppy cute as a button solid black little girl on 12/4/11. It was time to say good by to the puppy and put her up for sale. A gal i know wanted the puppy and offerd me this in trade So i know have a 4 year old half Gypsy Vanner/ percheron mare with No papers. I jumped on the deal. I then started doing some google searches with the info she gave me on the mare. I found the breeder she came from. I was able to talk to this man and he knew the horse as soon as i told him who i bought her from. He told me he sold her a package deal mother and daughter. he said this mare left his place when she was 3 months old. She is out of the world famous Gypsy vanner stud (Governor) he was the last owner of Governor before he past away. So he then told me i can get her papers and he will send me all the paper work i need to get her papers. It will cost me about $115 for her papers and the DNA test to link her to Governor. I am so excited to own this horse. I have her home now and here are a few more pics.

Wow- a puppy for a horse!!!

lol yep this little puppy. she has white tips on all 4 feet and a tiny white speck on her chest. The good news is i still get to see the puppy all the time . I feel sorry for the woman she spent thousands for this horse and can no longer afford to keep her. she was out of hay and the horse had been tearing thru the fence and getting out and eating weeds and grass beside the road. It was just a matter of time before she got hit and killed or killed some one else. anyway she has all the hay she can eat now and a little roll mix as a treat.

You can ride and drive the horse. And in case of zombie apocalypse horse is a lot better tasting then dog. Just kidding really. Lol

I am going to start building a round pen soon. I am going to follow the original breeders advice and just start with a bridle and a snaffle and start driving her from the ground. He said i can walk beside her and work on turns and the most important stops. He said you do not want to be on a run away Vanner. I have driven teams in the past so i have a good idea what to do. I think i found a good used harness for her but i need to take some measurements before i go to look at it.


And yes i agree i got the better end of this trade.
