need help to convert a dosage of tetracycline...anyone?

She eats, only seen her drink a few times. I have Tetroxy HCA-280 aka Oxytetracycline. In a 9.87 oz bag. Sad but true I cant understand the breakdown. Im only using a 5 gallon water feeder. But to be honest, I'm really wanting to inject it directly into her myself orally....whatcha think? I mean that way I know shes getting the medicine, I know it will help just dont want to overdose her on it
I am not a mathematical wizard by any means, but I figure 1/2 teaspoonful to each gallon to make the 800mg strength. Please check my math anyone. I haven't ever used it, and I don't know how strong of taste it is. I would probably mix up a gallon and syringe feed her and add it to her food to make it soggy. You can also tube feed it 3-4 times a day. Here is a good thread on tube feeding: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/805728/go-team-tube-feeding

Oops Kathy top bag is what I have I cant break it down to a 5 gallon water feeder. But im dead set on injecting it in her orally so maybs someone on here can find an answer or know how I can go about doing it that way
How many teaspoons, 1/2 teaspoons or tablespoons do you think are in the bag? Let us know and we'll come up with an amount for you to put in 5 gallons *and* to give her orally, but to give you the best possible answer we need to know how many 1/2 teaspoons, whole teaspoons or tablespoons are in it.

Tell you what... get a kitchen tablespoon, pour the contents into a mixing bowl, then count the number of tablespoons it takes to refill your bag. With that number we can get you everything you need and it shouldn't take too long.

For the 800 mg dose there should be 2 1/2 teaspoonsful per 5 gallon or 1/2 tsp per gallon. This is much less than other posts say, so please check my math. I am figuring 280 Gm divided by 128 gallons equals 2.5 Gm per gallon. 1 tsp is roughly 5 Gm, so 1/2 tsp equals 2.5 Gm. Anyone else?

Another way to figure is 280 Gm divided by 5 (5 Gm per tsp) equals 56 teaspoonsful, so 128 gallons divided by 56 tsp is 2.28 Gm or close enough to 1/2 tsp.

Remember that not all powders weigh the same. 2.27 grams of Corid powder is ~3/4 teaspoon, not half.

1 tsp lead, 1 tsp mercury, 1 tsp water, 1 tsp flour, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp feathers, 1 tsp foam will all have different weights.

Well hopefully she has meticulously measured out all of that powder into teaspoons or tablespoonsful and can tell us. It sure would be helpful if these drug companies could post the directions for 1 gallon, but that would make it too easy, LOL.
