Ravenclaw looked quickly at Sparrowtail "What on earth is going on over there?"

Sparrowtail was frowning "I have no idea, but we'd better check it out. Me, Silverstream and Ravenclaw will go. Rowanclaw, go back to camp and report this."

Rowanclaw was ready to object, then thought better of it and turned on his heels, racing back towards camp.

Sparrowtail flicked his tail to Silverstream and Ravenclaw and the three cats slunk into the bushes, heading towards the noise.

The caterwauls continuously got louder and louder.

Several rogues were gathered around, in the center was a small, sandy kit, his eyes terrified. The rogues cackled, clipping the kit with their sharp claws.
 
(It's not a big deal; we don't have to restart again if nobody wants to. Maybe Hawkfeather told Snowpaw to go hunting alone to test her new skills or something.)
 
Hawkfeather heard noises and bounded towards them. "What's going on?!" her eyes wide. She saw the cats surrounding Snowpaw and a motherly-like instinct to protect fired through her. "Back off!" she leaped in front of Snowpaw, swatting at the other cats, her ears flat.
