My hen hatched 7 silkie mixes and she makes a squalk every time I try and just visit with her and the babies (currently 3 days old). I want her to trust me so I can bond with the babies, any advice?

She'a just doing her job as a Mama. Sit, chat softly to her, read, sing, don't try to push it. If she squawks at you, the chicks are learning that you are a threat from her.
