Yes, a bit of a silly question, but I was out with my flock this morning giving them some scratch and watching their antics. One of the light brahmas looked like she was sneezing. I can't really describe the noise she was making, but each time she made it her head shook.

So... do chickens sneeze?

My have never sneezed, we just got two new chicks and one has a runny nose. I'm concerned my big girls are getting the cold the baby has. What do I do ????

Go to tsc, family farm & home etc. And there will be small packages of nutri drench?? (Not sure if thats the name) . They arr the shape and size of koolaid mixes.
They should be located near the chicken food, supplies..mix it in with the water theirs instructions on the package.

Yesterday I was scattering some scratch around and my rooster 'sneezed' <sounded like a loud honk> an oat onto the back of the hen nearest him. Then walked over and ate it off her back. Then pecked her like it was HER fault that the oat ended up on her back...
I just love to watch them.

I just went out and fed my girls some scratch and one of them sneezed. It was sort of funny it sounded like a dogs squeaky toy. Just hoping she was only sneezing because of the powder/dust in the scratch. I will be keeping an eye on her and the rest of the flock.

Turns out the Chicks I bought were sick and made all
My Girls and Rooster Sick. I wasn't aware that when you got new chicks/Chicknes it's best to keep them separate from your flock for 30 to 45 days. Long story short I lost one of the silkie chicks and one of
My older girls got very sick. After giving them all medicaid food and putting antibiotics and vitiams in their water they seem to be getting better. It's been a bad week or so but I think things are looking up.
