i been using acv with medicated feed for 14 weeks now on 21 chicks, all 21 chicks are doing great, last year we didn't use acv or medicated feed on our chicks and we lost 2 chicks out of every 4 we got, so this year when we purchased new chicks we over brought thinking we're going to lose some but we haven't. so i highly recommend using this combo.

Just a reminder that you should be using the organic unfiltered ACV, not the regular kind. The organic kind has some extra natural component that is beneficial. I used an electrolyte mix in mu water with my chicks until they went outside, and now they get the ACV mix. It keeps the water from getting slimy too!

Also be careful with medicated feed that you continue to use it for several weeks after they have been moved to the outside - it helps the chicks to develop a resistance to cocci infections, but will not work if they haven't been exposed. I have seen on here that some people had been instructed by feed store employees to feed the medicated feed for like the first two weeks and then switch to regular.
