OH NO!! I am just sick. I just realized my eggs on day (6) are in the incubator upside down!! I have since righted them but will they hatch properly? I have candled them and can clearly see movement and development but sadly at the wrong end of the egg. Is it too late for them to move into the air sac position or is that most important in the final days of repositioning prior to hatch?

I dont know a ton about hatching, but I had a chicken last year who laid eggs without a discernable point. I'm sure at least half of hers were up side down and I remember almost all of them hatched. Those eggs are tough, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Oh, and :frow Hi!

1 of my chicks has been struggling for 2 days, and still cant stand on its own. Any ideas?

I do think you caught it early enough that they will be fine. Good luck and keep us posted.

I think the bird had a yolk sack infection. I have been told you can add water+rubbing alcohol to the incubator to help lower bacteria. I'm going to try that. Three other hatched without infection
