Depends on the predator. Diggers, bury the fence, set it on buried concrete blocks or line the outside with blocks or rocks. Climbers, put a welded wire cover over it, also good for hawks and such too. Also a couple strands of electric fence can work. Be sure to always use welded wire because fox, coyote, coons, etc can bite through chicken wire. Bears, good luck...lol. Mine is 4 foot high welded wire folded 6 inches over onto ground. My coop is secure now for all my predators which are primarily night critters and all my chickens go in at night. I don't really have a daytime problem and my carport has kept all flying predators out.
