They were the good in their day but no longer!

There cannot be a universally recognised best band. It depends, first of all, on your taste in music. The Beatles music now seems to be over-arranged. Even in their day they were surpassed by the Yardbirds and the Rolling Stones.

I listened to this live in 1964 and it beats the Beatles by a country mile:

Nothing wrong with listening to different genres! I listen to pretty much anything (except death metal and the hard core rap).  I listen to Octane on XM in my car but I am always switching channels to see what else is on. Drives my DD nuts!!! She wants to listen to Radio Disney. I can listen to RD but I prefer the harder music. When I take my mom somewhere, I put it on country. Although to be honest, country today is not country.   I bought a Mudvayne CD today...had to drive to a store over an hour away to get it but the main thing is I got it!!  yesss.gif  Listening to it now... :P

You know what's funny? When people assume you like certain music and it's far from what you can bear to endure LOL!  Since I have a farm people at my work thought I would love country music, but I don't...

Onedoodle3, does that XM station have a variety of songs?--the channels at my work (XM) repeat the same songs every six hours, totally awful!

I listen to heavy metal.  My favorite band is Nightmare, a French Heavy Power Metal band.  I have a huge list of bands I listen to, aside from Nightmare some of other faves are Crystal Eyes, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Sonata Arctica, Savatage, Stratovarius, Candlemass, Eidolon, Amon Amarth, Noctural Rites, and many many others.

oh yeah. I listened to it on the way to my sisters house (about 9-10 hours away) never heard the same song twice.  I love it.
