Hi guys:)

I built a PVC drain pipe feeder for my chickens because it was cheaper then normal PVC and way easier to cut! It was like $7 with taxes for a 10' length at Home Depot. All together with the 90 degree and the caps for the bottom and top it cost $16 bucks!!

This feeder keeps poop out of there food and stop your chickens from wasting feed.

Here my basic instructions on how to assemble it!

About how full does the trough part get? Also how much food do they normally kick out (if any)? I'm looking for a good feeder for my pullets and this looks really nice :)

There is ways you can adjust the feeder pipe that will not alow to much feed to flow into the trough. You will just have to cut the pipe. When I can I will show you what I mean:) Maybe this weekend:)

I am yet to use it but my buddy Josh says this is a real feed saver:) You can alway drill wholes that they can just fit there heads in to further minimize feed loss.

My buddy tells me they work great! Cheap enough to give it a shot!

If you do it post a photo/photo's:)

I really like this! I'd like to see what you mean by cutting the pipe to limit food flow. We are in major coop-design mode and doing it as inexpensively as possible.

I will try to make a video tomorrow on the idea at least. I have to setup a drip line at church tomorrow so if I have time I will do the video:)

Here is that video:) I hope this is a help to you guys! Let me know what you think please!

I am also going to be making a watering nipple system that will keep the water clean and it can't get food in it. I will be posting a video as soon as I make the watering nipple system so subscribe so you don't miss it:)
