Question, last year I planted about 10 asparagus and thus year I have only that one thing coming up. What should I do?

Wait a while. They can be pokey. This season is totally whacked, so they may be confused.

It may take three years before newly planted asparagus is ready for even a small harvest. it's longer term than most veggies!
And one of our dogs loved the stuff, and cleaned us out completely.

Yes, I think you're supposed to wait until the second growing season before you harvest. And then you shouldn't harvest all of the stalks.

Agree with the explanation Michelle and Mary said. We are not showing birds but those of you can swap picture and information and just do the exchange. They cannot be out in the open until the 30 days. In our swap n meet,many bring all kinds of fowl/poultry and you pick what you want, so we are not to do it. The chickenstock is different.

The event I'm thinking of is in Delta township. I'm confused now as to which event I'm referring to. I hate that we're having another hfai year again. We're biosecure because of being small fortunately. Just overpopulated this year.

@alpacasandchicks78 I understand but it is by the State, therefore it covers all of the State. Those big poultry farms should be forced but not us with less than 50? I only have 23 and even though was excited to see chicks for a buck and ducks for two bucks, I bought none. I am set for a couple of years. Last year acquired 12 and now collect about 16 to 18 eggs a day. But we need to heed the law unfortunately.
