These birds can be sexed easily most times by counting the 'rows' of "peas" in their combs.

A male will have 3 distinct rows of peas, and a female only 1 row.

I must admit I have had one or two that did a sex change on me after I had them pegged for what they were not...LOL  big_smile.png

wink.png  Thanks!  But I have sold out of almost all of my bantam Ams, which frankly is killing me, because this latest generation of babies growing up are the best ones yet!  I am keeping a trio that will live out their days as pets, and my last 2 pairs of juveniles will be donated at the PNPA show in October to their breeders auction...  smile.png

Yep!

The colour is identical to my true Ameraucana bantam eggs. If not a little more vibrant.

Breeder of nothing right now.Read our RE-Build of LES Farms Thread.

Lost everything in a barn fire 2/11/13. Can't even pull it together.

Thank you for all the condolences and all the support and donations given to help us rebuild. You are all so special to us.

Please READ my thread about FIRE SAFETY. Trying to save as many others from the little mistakes that cost me everything.
