Hi folks. I live here in central Texas. We currently get 3 dollars a dozen for large brown and green eggs. We get 15 dollars for a two year old hen. What are these going for in your neck of the woods?

I've always sold my eggs for $3/doz as well just due to it being an even number, but it's pretty much about standard price around here if not about $2.50/doz. Plus I don't really have a huge surplus of eggs yet anyways, more than I eat sure, but not really enough to make any sort of money off anything, I pretty much just sell to one person.

Hahahahaha, you guys have it made! Here if you're buying from a local person who keeps chickens for hobby, you can get them for $5-7. At the farmers market, pastured eggs go for $7-8.

Wow, guess it really does matter where you're located! In my area they go for about $3 to $3.50 a dozen. I plan to charge $3...don't have great bunches of extras (only allowed 6 chickens) so it won't exactly be a money maker, LOL.

We got our started red sexlinks for $10 each, and I thought that was a pretty darn good deal!
