I swear, these turkeys don't care what is going on. Whatever it is, they are fine with it.

We were replacing the tarp over the bird runs and racing to finish before a storm arrived. There were some structural changes and by the time they were finished, the wind arrived. Serious wind and we were placing a 20 X30 ft tarp over the top of the 6 ft tall runs.

The tarp is flapping like crazy and trying to lift me off the ground. Para-sailing anyone? And here is the turkey, attempting to trip anyone who doesn't look behind them before they step back. Getting in the way of moving the tarp, churring and purring, and occasionally seeing something to try to peck off of my pants.

The tarp is whipping around and booming and making sharp cracking noises. The ducks are huddled at the very furthest end of the orchard to get away from it. But the turkey? She is right underfoot and "helping". She was so badly in the way that I had to lock her up.

The tarp is up. It managed to stay in place throughout the storm and the runs are nice and dry. No thanks to the helpful turkey.

I swear, she forget to pick up her caution gene. She isn't afraid of anything.

if she is the only turkey, she feels lonely-- and being as she is a turkey, she is more connecting to humans (lol you) that is why she doesn't care if you step on her, because she has imprinted on you
lol GOOD LUCK!
