Goldilocks cannot walk~ shes 17/!Update. She's gone to Heaven.

Hi all, sad news
Dear little goldilocks cant walk.
She was lying down under a tree yesterday so i picked her up and brought her inside.
She slept inside in the warmth.
Shes eating and drinking from a cup however for some reason her legs cannot hold her up.
when i place her up on the grass, she topples over and falls down frontways.
My car is being fixed, handbrake is stuck on.
I want to get her to a vet asap.

Goldilocks is her hen which is now 17 years old!!!
I forget what breed she is but she has really been doing well and still going strong at 17 (I guess, up until now) quite amazing for a hen!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Helen, and with Goldilocks!
I know you must be devestated at this development!

Thankyou, its really hard to try and help her when she cant stand up. I have her outside with her friends on a nice blanket so she is warm in the sun.
Yesterday "Blackie" the Australorp helped her when I put a pile of mince down on the grass, Goldilocks munched hers then when she couldnt reach the uneated part dear little blackie passed her some.
It was beautiful to watch.
They all love Goldie.
I will try my darndest to get her back on her feet.
 
My very best wishes for your dear Goldie. I'm so sorry she's having troubles. Your tender care is no doubt giving her much comfort. How beautiful, Blackie helping her.
