Odd egg - Page 3

I thought the hard shell was a really dark yolk.. went back and looked with my glasses on, that is unusual. I guess they will do what they will do.

This was posted today in the Ameraucana thread.

Even MORE odd than the OPs "gift wrapped" egg. A full, hard shelled egg, inside a full had shelled egg. A REAL two egg omelette from a "single" egg!

Here's an odd one.  My leghorn, just dropped this in front of me in the yard last summer..was in moult.  She was laying some thin shelled eggs in the nest box, guess she thought this was something else, because she always lays in a box!

You know I had to open it!  Nice egg inside.  She did better.  Laid all through her moult.

Wonderful family, very understanding husband when it comes to chickens, dogs, birds, one big Golden Retriever, and thankful to the Lord for all!

That was pretty cool, and blue in blue too, those blue eggs still amaze me......

this is our first soft shell egg from our girls.  They've been laying since the end of Sept.

This is some sort of goop on the shell - not poop.  Perfect on the inside.
