I have a hen that went broody & hatched 4 babies that are 4 wks old. We had them all in small pen & would let her out to roam & bathe or whatever. Then when she was ready we would let her back in. However I have noticed on occasion if she is near another hens eggs, she may peck at them. Why is she doing this & is there anything I should do?

I got my 1 egg.
My roo was right there with my "hen" in the next nest box and sang with her when she was done. OMG I am so thrilled..
