How to keep squirrels out of an open coop

Thread Starter

We have squirrels that eat the feed (well actually just the corn part) out of our chicken coop that we keep open so the chickens can eat out of it when they need to and so they can go in at night without us opening it up at night in case we're away.  Any way to keep the squirrels out while letting the chickens in?

If you are in a position to keep a few feral cats in the perimeter outside your coop/run you will eliminate the squirrel problem, and all problems connected to rodents in general.  One cat is not enough, though!  (shown in home page below)
