I got 12 chicks in March, was told all were hens, that was about 50% right.
I ended up with
1 standard size polish rooster
4 standard polish hens
2 standard rhode island hens

4 bantam roosters
and I believe 1 bantam hen

Feed store will take the roosters back, doing that tomarrow.
Question is if I keep 1 bantam rooster will he be able to get together with the full size hens so I can have my own chicks hatch?

Thanks for any help, Jen

I have a little bantham cochin named Lil Roo. He will breed with anything and everything any size. My small Pyle hen to my very large Brahma hen. (trust me, a sight to see and a definate fit of laughter over that) I have a lot of cochin mutts because of him. He is teeny tiny also. My banty rooster, Rascal, could eat this little guy. Hope this helps.

I have a banty RIR roo and he is able to do his thing with my Br and red sexlink. He tries with my BO, but I'm not sure how successful he is. Recently hatched 13 chicks, and not one is a BO.

Hi,
Thank you guys for helping. I think I'll keep 1 bantam rooster and take the rest of the roosters back. Maybe I'll get lucky and get somemore chicks with the little rooster around, plus the one bantam rooster is really pretty. Just hopeing the other bantam I keep is a hen, I'm pretty sure it's a hen :)

Have a GREAT week-end
Jen
