I'm looking for a few ducklings.
Here's the deal. I sent some chicken and duck eggs to a teacher to hatch out in her classroom. It's her first year in a new school, and she's trying to do a great job. But she's never hatched out chicks before, and her chicken eggs ended up with a zero hatch rate. I happened to have a momma hen who hatched out a bunch, so I borrowed a couple and she's going to pretend that they hatched out over the weekend.
I'm assuming that she probably won't have any luck with the duck eggs as well. So I'm trying to set up a backup plan so that the children get to experience baby ducks.
She has told the children that they should hatch out around Thursday, 16th of May. So I'm looking to buy or borrow a few ducklings from someone who has ducks that hatch within a day or so of that date . If I'm buying them, then I would like egg laying breeds. If your lending, then any duck breed. (It would be nice to have a couple of the egg shells that they hatched out of as well for the lesson.)
