I have a quick case of egg shells thinning within my entire flock. They are still hard shells but nothing like the plated armor I had been accustomed to since getting chickens last Fall. Avergae age of chicken is 1 yr. All of them are laying much thinner shelled eggs.

I wormed them with Wazine, followed by Ivermectin drops, and ended up with a 28 days withdrawl start to finish. During that time, I collected and discarded eggs without paying any attention to their thickness. I did the worming as a preventative, rather than a known issue.

Right as the 28 days was finishing up, the weather took a turn to upper 90's with heat indexes a lilttle over 100.

I have always incorporated free choice oyster shells, and haven't changed anything in their life or diet. I tried to be a little more dilligent in changing water so it stays cooler, leaving them water in the shade, etc. due to heat. I use ACV.

Do anyone know if there is any correlation with thinner shells due to woming treatment, or due to heat increase ?
