How much egg is too much?

Ah pickled eggs! I didn't think of that! Thanks!

It requires about 60 or 5 dozen hardboiled eggs to make a gallon of pickled eggs. However it is better to boil 6 dozen eggs because of the differences in size and then if you have an accident when peeling them and you expose the yellow you have some extra boiled eggs to fall back on. Exposing the yellow will cause the vinegar and water to turn cloudy. Also remember that very fresh hardboiled eggs peel like crap. If you'll keep your eggs in the ice box for about 10 - 14 days they will peel easy once hardboiled and shocked in an ice water bath. Fingernail divots in the side of the eggs caused by difficult peeling doesn't hurt anything it just looks un attractive. Snack on the ones you don't pickle, or make egg salad or stuffed eggs instead.

Yup I do the same!!! LOL I charge 2.50 a dozen so I wil have a bunch of ones and I take them to the bank to put it into my savings. They also put out more eggs then what they eat... If that makes any sense.

Start baking! Cookies and deserts galore! We make Quiche when we’ve got loads of extra eggs and are sick of scrambled and sunny side up. You could also make a custard.

If they are laying an egg a day, wouldn't think feeding them an egg a day is going to hurt them. If you are feeding a commercial food, generally they say to limit treats to about 10% of the diet so you don't upset the balance too much, but if they forage etc, unless you are feeding them a ton of eggs over a long period of time, I doubt you need to worry.
