Meniscus Tear

Been crocheting, reading, nagging my kids! LOL! Trying to get all my songs on iTunes re-dowloaded, so been trying to stay busy.
I would rather be outside and doing other things, but oh well.

It seems like you can find a million things to be done when you can't do them and when you can do them, you don't want to.

Got my stitches out yesterday and talked to the doctor with a clearer head.
Turns out what happened is a piece of cartilage the size of a dime had torn off from under my knee cap. So that explains the knee pain and the "pop" back in December. Well it was floating around in my knee causing all that pain. It was also getting broke into little pieces, which he found on the inside of my knee, which explains all the pain there.
Said everything looked good and smoothed out the cartilage that was flaking. He said he drilled some small holes in the bone to help get some cartilage growing. That is why he wanted me off my knee for a month.
Said this new cartilage will not be as strong as the cartilage I loss but it should help for the next 2 to 5 years. Then we might have to go back in and drill again.

Told me 2 more weeks on crutches then I can start walking without and I can go back to work on light duty. He does not want me lifting anything heavy.
Talked with my boss yesterday and they were happy to hear that. Plus so were my co-workers. One told me thanks for leaving her to baby sit.

I can hardly wait to get back. Have run into a couple of regular customers and they were asking what happened and told me they missed me. I guess it is because I always have a smile on my face and a Hello for everyone.
