Sooo.................. I was on the net surfing about peacock pheasants and was reading about the Palawan Peacock Pheasant ---that is endangered.

You would think that the Government would give small grants to breeders ......Im sure zoos get something like that. I tried to look it up and was overwhelmed with alot of pages of non-related topics. Does anyone know?

Just randomly wondering, but it seems feasable....

Interesting thought.

Try ALBC and any other conservation group. Also ATTRA.

If they don't have any grants for that, maybe they can point you in the right direction.

This government that we have right now is not concerned about giving grants for endangered birds like that. They are more concerned with nonsense programs like the NAIS. You need to look more towards specific groups who are trying to save a certain species that your are interested in. If your interested in the Palawan Peacock Pheasant, see if you can find a group who is trying to save that species.

There should be guidelines in the grant posting, read the whole thing, could be possible. I have worked out of Federal grants before to deal with substance abusing pregnant teenagers, there are piles of grants out there and with good writing skills, clear and measurable objectives toward their target areas, they are not too hard to get..in fact, the Federal Register lists new opportunities all the time, I would imagine there are many members of this forum creative and clever enough to find ways to tap into those resources ....good luck...clever idea
