Human dutch door & pallet chicken door for yard access . I put sand under the roosting area I made and used the milk crate idea for nesting boxes. From the front I wanted something pleasing to the eye so some mulch an old bike and some plants to the rescue.

Wow, lucky chickens! That looks fantastic.

Hi there. Its actually a little horny toad decoration :) as far as scorpions go I live in the middle of the city of Tucson and throughout all my digging around in the backyard this last year I've only come across one black widow. As far as I know though chickens search out and destroy scorpions. They are not immune to the bite but it won't kill them either. if they go in right they will bite off the stinger first and then go on for the kill. Happy chicken days to you. I hope that helps.

Chickens must have no fear of bugs or creepy crawlies!
I just found a huge black widow spider in our garden last week and was wondering how many spiders my chickens have seen while they were scratching around the old cabbage and broccoli plants. I wonder if chickens eat black widows.
