Chicks with coarse dry fuzz--like a wiry dog's hair

They eat their yolk while they are in the egg so maybe those two just didn't eat it all... wait till all the fuzz is off and I'm sure he'll be fine

I had this happen to me because of weak chick and hi humidity in incubator once in broader and completely dry he got it off

I had this happen to a duckling,
What happened was..... the humidity was lower than it should have been and the duckling was already shrink wrapped from the membrane drying out before it hatched.
But what caused the "dog-hair feathers" was the "gunk" from the inside of the shell, drying on the duckling.
It took 2-3 baths to wash it off, but when I was done cleaning it the duckling fluffed right out.

Makes sense although could not wash it off these guys. I did a dry incubation for 1st time--never again. They could not have been terribly shrinked wrapped as they zipped out in less than 20 minutes--very fast.
