I bough chicks from tsc today, and let me say this is not my first rodeo with chicks. They are in like one of the metal livestock tanks like tsc keeps them in, only bigger. They have their heat lamp, and if they get too warm plenty of room to move away from iT.
I bought 6 bantams, and 6 black austrolorps.
One of the bantams is panting. I showed it where the food and water is, it has drank by itself, was not panting in the store, but it started panting almost immediately after getting it home.
Could it be stressed?
I have vitamins in the water, always do that with all my chicks. I was thinking maybe it was too warm, but there is more than enough room for it to get out of the heat. All the other ones are running around like the crazy little chicks they are.
Any idea?

It may be travel stress in which case Poultry Nutri-Drench or Pet Nutri-Drops ,
both of which which don't need to be digested, are a big help. Other helps
can take up to 3 hours to digest.Travel stress doesn't always affect all the chicks.
Per the science techs at Bovidr Labs both products above may be used with the
same instructions as Poultry Nutri-Drops.

Thank you! It seems to be much better this morning!
Although one of the other chicks I'm not sure is going to make it.. it is standing, but seems very sleepy... I havent seen it run or play once, or eat.
I have gotten it to drink, but it just stands there and sleeps all the time. If I pick it up, it won't even struggle to run away like the others :(
