My family is getting ducks and I want to start finding a few different kinds to get. I found one that could be show quality, but I won't know until I get the species name. PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS CAN YOU RESPOND?!

That's a wild duck. You wouldn't be able to show that. If you want to get into ducks you should try looking up Pekins, Silver Appleyard, Rouen, Rouen, and there are more.

Looks like an exotic duck like a whistling duck or shelduck, but I'm not sure what species. Exotic ducks are difficult to keep and naturally nervous, so they probably wouldn't be good for a show. I don't even think they would be accepted into poultry shows.

I would try domestic ducks, instead. There's many beautiful varieties. You can look at Metzer Farms or Holderread's websites for the kinds they have. Holderread's sells show quality domestic ducks.

This is a ruddy shelduck. If you are interested in ornamental waterfowl, you might want to take mandarin or wood ducks into consideration as a beginner.

There are special shows for ornamental fowl, but I do not know about this in your country.
