So I ordered 12 eggs from Fowl Menagerie here on BYC and he sent me 17. One was cracked so I sealed it with some wax. All the others looked okay. I am going to try and hatch using yinepu's guide for hatching. I marked and weighed them all and put them in the incubator with the turner turned off. I have a question though for others that have used this method. When you lay them on their side at 45degrees in the turner do you turn the turner off at that time or is that with the turner still running? I guess I just can't picture how to do it.

Here is a picture of the incubator loaded.

I admit I would send @yinepu a PM.
I did but so far have not received a reply. I have some time though since they don't have to be tilted until day 15 and we are only on day 1 right now. We are still working on sitting in the incubator without turning for 48 hours so the air cells can settle since they are shipped eggs and need to rest for a bit. Tomorrow at 11am will be 48 hours.

I just got a call as well that said that my order would be shipped out on June 18th. Hopefully it won't be too hot for them then.

I so want to candle my Muscovy eggs. It's day 7 today but they are shipped eggs so I don't want to jostle them too much and possibly hurt them. What day do you guys candle your Muscovy eggs?

Day 10 is finally here. I candled tonight and it looks like out of 17 eggs one was cracked and didn't develop. 6 were non developing but I left them in until hatching to be on the safe side in case I missed something, and 11 are viable moving embryos. Now to see how well they do for weighing on day 15. They should have lost 5.6% of their weight. The air cells are all stable and at the top now which is awesome considering they are shipped eggs. So far I haven't added any water. I figure since our house has been running around 50 to 60% humidity normally that the incubator would be higher too so less is better.

Yinepu's guide says to lay them down in the turner at day 15 so I will be doing that after I weigh them and then turning them by hand once a day after that on top of the turner. Hopefully that's right.

What day is lock down for hatching for Muscovy ducks and do you actually lock down or do you wait until they are actually internally pipped before increasing the humidity and laying them down?

So excited to have some ducks hatch.

Is there anything else that I need to do?
