I have been told to leave my broody hen alone, NO, she will not be hatching eggs at all......???

Don't we love broodies? specially when we are not trying to hatch eggs because there is no rooster around. All this Spring and Summer I have been having broodies one after another, as a matter of fact I have 2 right now each in a broody breaker cage. I have noticed that the "broodiness" varies according to the hen, some of them break faster than others and I always catch them as soon as they start. I read that the longer they are left in the nest, the longer it takes to break them. I also read that maybe they should be left alone and let them be broody, but I certainly cannot do that because temps are getting pretty high already and don't want them to have a heat stroke while in the nest.
