Can anyone identify the breed of this chicken? It was an "extra" in the batch of chicks I bought from McMurray Hatchery. I have no other white chickens like this. The flock is now 11 weeks and 3 days old.

What did you order from MMM? The free chick from them is usually from their rare/exotic breeds, so that would rule out Leghorn or Rock. I can't tell what type of comb she has, but it doesn't look like a straight comb? I was thinking white Wyandotte, but that's too much tail for most Wyandottes. What color are her legs?

x2 White Wyandotte was my first thought. The comb appears to be a rose comb and Murray McMurray does breed White Wyandottes. If the legs are yellow, I will stick with my first thought--White Wyandotte.

The free rare/exotic chick we got was a Silver Laced Polish. We only ordered 24 and with the rare/exotic chick we ended up with 26. This one was obviously put in by mistake. I'm pretty sure the legs are yellow. They're all fast asleep at this stage in the evening so I'll double check that leg color tomorrow.

Well, that rules out Wyandotte! If she's got a straight comb she would be a Jersey Giant, I think. Pea comb would be clean faced EE, most likely.
