Bought at auction today
Wattles are red

Oh dear possibly why they were sold then,
I might put them into another auction next weekend see if I can re sell them
They are real sweeties( I got two both same comb size) but one is light as a feather
And they are lovely birds, let me bath them and sort out their feet feathers

Could be a pullet, tiny toes and a bit of tail, often predictors. Comb is not quite definitive--another 2 weeks should be necessary to be quite sure. I always say: You will know for sure, when it CROWS or Lays and egg! I raise Cream (lemon) Mille Fleur Dutch Bantams. Sizes of feet early on, is often a sign, before the comb size. But I do not place bets!

They must be a lovely breed to raise, I love these little two, one is so lightweight compared to the other yet they look the same size.
What about the wattles? Are they red on hens and the roos?

Hi

jumping in on this thread i have 5 millefleurs chicks not quite 4 weeks old and out of the 5 i have one with a pink comb that is slightly more pronounced than the others combs which are pale cream and also on the suspect Roo are much darker base of neck feathers

heres a pic the one in the centre

possible indicator of a roo in the batch or just a chick with darker neck
