The Baby was all yellow when hatched and is now at about 3 weeks getting some brown on back area. Any ideas?

This egg was laided before I paired off my Peas. I have BSSP male female, IBSP Male, Bronze Male IB Male split white, Midnite Male,BSMale, BS Pied Hen and BS Spalding hen, Others I have are not of breeding age yet.

Figured Id ask, I have to get a good picture of it, I tried to take some with phone didnt come out well.

My guess is your chicks mom is the BS Pied hen,,father IB Silver pied male. Most pieds will show these dark areas at hatch. Being totally yellow at hatch would indicate two parents both being b/s,,(from your pair of bssp) or your bssp hen and b/s Male. But developing dark areas indicates a pied parent.

My peas are India blue, my hen Jewel is sitting on her first 4 eggs! So will the babies deffinetly look like the parents ?

No whit patches, and yes barred winged. I'm still trying to learn what all the diff types and patterns are, but as far as I can tell they look 100% IB.
