Serama Hatch-A-Long!!

Pics
So what do you guys think? Silkie? Frizzle? Feathers are not at all straight like the others. About a week old or so

I have 2 eggs 5 days away from Lockdown, and just set 7 more today! These will be my first Serama, if any hatch. Super excited!!!

Cool... how exciting!! The Seramas are so little and fun and cute! I am hoping my frizzle hen who finished with her 2 chicks last week will start laying again soon and I can hatch more! I have 2 empty incubators running

I hope you get eggs soon! Happy to hear she did well for you getting you some chicks! I'm a little sad I won't be hatching anything more until spring. That's so far away, and I thought everyone was full of it when they said hatching eggs was addictive, but it's true. I can already tell I'll miss when the 'bator is empty! Hopefully my cochin will go broody before then so I have an excuse to start a little early, though she's got hams for feet. I wouldn't trust her with serama eggs.

I hope your eggs are doing well! The weather has gone dark here and almost no one is laying so it will be a while before I have more eggs

I think I am in withdrawal. At least my duck is sitting on a couple eggs! I can hardly wait till my Serama babies start laying, even if it is next Spring.

My Serama girls have stopped laying too since its started getting colder at night. I do have nine Serama eggs in the incubator due in about a week. Two of my last batch of eggs looks like they might be silkies so I'm excited to see how they develope. I had a lot of blacks last hatch

Nice... are the eggs from your birds? I really want to get more from Pamela, the birds I hatched from her eggs are so beautiful and colorful!!

Some of mine, and actually a few of hers too. My one silkie hen mysterioisly died so I'm really hoping those two chicks make it. A little disappointed I'm not seeing more frizzles since two of my laying hens are frizzled. Two of my remaining hatch from a month or two ago have darker skin and I am having a hard time sexing them. Those two sure have pretty coloring so far, one is a mottled medium/dark brown and the other is rusty red brown. I have one all white hen but have yet to get a white chick lol. I recently sold my frizzled chick that looked like a roo but kind of wished I hadnt later. Were you able to sell any of your chicks?

Sorry about your hen, that's so sad

Does your roo carry the frizzled gene? I have two frizzled hens from Pamela's eggs and looks like one roo from a CDS frizzled egg... hopefully he's got the gene and we'll get some frizzled babies in the future.

I didn't sell any chicks but I didn't try very hard. I guess it's hard to part with my first babies! I do like to see how they grow up... My first batch from their parents looks like one roo and four hens, can that be?? I guess we'll see but they are already 6 weeks old.

I am sure I have enough birds, but I want more eggs... I just love to have them incubating...
