I have never owned silkies before so I don't have a clue how to sex them. Here are the two that I have and they are both 8 1/2 weeks old.


This is the second one


Next I have two different blue/black Ameracauna's



Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
 
Silkies are very hard to sex. These are too young to be sure on.

I think you have a pair of Ameraucanas. The black is a rooster and the blue a hen.
 
So I take it my updated pics are still no help to anybody? I will keep posting weekly until someone tells me whether I have pullets or cockerel silkies!!

I think you have a pair of silkies as well. Everyone says silkies are hard to sex. When you have an eye for them, it just pops at you. Black hen and blue roo. Opposite of the ameraucanas xD

my mom sold my favorite chicken ever, a black split ameraucana, she thought it was a roo, but nope. She was as old as your black roo.
this is all I have of her. My mom thought that hens never got combs on ameraucanas... hers was tiny and yellow.
