Hi all. My husband expanded the chicken run. Before I open it up to our fine ladies, I want to spread lime under the substrate. We had trouble finding any. I understand the idea of caustic versus safe. We found pelletized lime at Menards. It was by the garden ferts section. The guaranteed ingredients are calcium magnesium cakcium carbonate equivakent water solublebindet. Derived from minedcalcium carbinate and magnesium carbonate. The package says to sprinkle then water. I cannot find any info on if this is hydrated lime or not. Any information would be great. I really want to continue with the expansion.
