I have a hen I thought was a Rhode Island Red at first but she looks very different from the other RIRs. She has a much smaller comb, is darker, and looks more hawk like. Any idea what she is?

I found a white egg this morning that I am pretty sure is hers if that helps any. I don't think any of my other girls lay white eggs.
Maybe a brown leghorn.

The picture doesn't show her color well, she is a very dark red. Do leghorns come in red?
They come in white and brownish red, and they do lay a white egg. Another idea is she could be a cross breed of some sort, I was given a couple white eggs last year and what looked like a Rhode Island Red came out.

That is a Rhode Island Red. The egg likely came from another bird.

Really? She looks so different from the other RIRs in the flock. That's surprising.
Pay attention to what color egg she lays, RIRs lay brown eggs
