is it true that if you give your laying hens starter/grower feed that it will turn the eggs toxic and unfit to eat ?

what you may have been hearing is a bit of a twist on the old spiel about use of medicated starter feeds and concern of the ingredients ending up in eggs.

Glad to have you. A lot of good threads around and so much to learn. And yes, when I started on the forum I was so dumb that I wondered if you had to have a rooster to have your chickens lay eggs.

Truly you can keep them on starter/grower and just give them oyster shell on the side. Just so they have a little calcium. Good luck.
