Howdy,
I have two Light Brahams that are14 weeks old. They have been with me seven days and although skittish they are doing better. One is eating out of my hand already. Two days ago I brought home two very sweet Buff Orpingtons that are nine weeks old. When I go to the coop run they come to me. When I sit in the run they hop into my lap, jump up on my shoulder and even onto my hat.
My question is when can I let them out of the run? When I do let them out, should I let them out in two's by breed and keep the other two in the run? Thanks, Jim

The BO 's I can pickup with no problem. The Light Brahmas are not relaxed around me but things are getting better each day. We let the Buff Orpingtons out yesterday and were easy to get back into the run. The Brahmas will not be let out until I can easily pick them up. Mealworms are making me look like a Chicken Master!

Let them out of the run about an hour before sundown. They won't go too far, and should go back in on their own, since they have been in that area for a week or so. They should know it as home by now.
