Hello,
My broody has only one live chick from her hatch. My question, is it alright to just have one chick or does it need a friend? The broody mama is taking care of her just fine. All my other chickens in the coop are older, some teens, some hens and so on...
thanks for any help!

She will be fine with just the one chick, more can be better of course but with one she will take good care of it, in theory it should be slightly less stressful since there is only one to look after. I think she will be fine
