The Best Aviary Top?

No that is Alto.

Here are some photos of my peababy Peep:

Of course right now his train is a foot long and he is soo cute when he displays for me with his little train. Unfortunately Frosty still thinks that he has to kick Peep every time he sees Peep display.

The pen that will be Peep's is going to be around 21' X 60' and it has a big blueberry bush inside. Peep loves blueberries so hopefully he will love the pen I have planned for him. The pen planned for Frosty has a smaller blueberry bush and will hopefully have a really neat live perching tree. The tree was too top heavy and fell over but it is still alive so we are hoping we can prop it up and it will stay alive.

Some good ideas :

Do you have any predators?

Yep, coyotes, foxes, bob cats, coons, possums and a occasional stray dog. That is why I have a chain linked fence around my pen with a top on it! That is also why we have traps and shot guns!

they bare more fruit that way and they will be stronger. I am planting some along my new fence as well as rasberries and grapes i am excited about this as it will give the birds wild and otherwise something more to forage on.

Wished you lived closer i could hook you up wit a few of them 20 foot poles for your aviary they would be perfect as long as you used landscape timbers to add that extra foot

Dany, very good video and description of your pens.I'm glad to see your doors are about 2' off the ground. This will cut escapees. The only thing I see that bothers me is the 2x4 wire on the pheasant pens.I've had goldens and Amherst walk right thru this 2x4 wire.I have since changed all wire the hardware cloth everywhere. And I have removed the construction poly on top and I have metal roofing on all roofs.I have built some new pens but all that loaded was the base. Each pen is 8wx16lx10hi filled with 6" of washed sand and the 4x4 boxes in the back were planted with yew trees and American bamboo, but they quickly died. There is 1 outside door on the right side and all other doors are inside each pen.Perches are placed at 8' and the pitch of the roof keeps the drafts off from them.
The older pens are 6x12x8 with the same set up,but I didn't keep the doors off from the ground so in the winter I have to make sure the area in front of the doors are clear.
What types of pheasant are you planning on?
