Is this guy a rooster? He's about 2.5 months old. Up until last week there was no red coloration, and I though we had a girl. And then this morning, it looked and sounded like he was starting to crow.

I would guess pullet, although I'm not too familiar with sebrights, this one has almost no wattles and hackle feathers don't look like a cockerel to me. Just a guess though.

From the looks of it right now it looks like a pullet but could u take a photo of it towards the tail so we can see if there's any off those long tail.

Sebrights being hen feathered you wont get any rooster saddles and hackles to go by. I would say early developing pullet, just because when I raised sebrights by 4 weeks the boys had huge red combs and wattles already, at 2.5 months they were all in crowing contests. They can be a very early maturing breed.

Well now we are on a second day of crowing. Could I have a late blooming male (as far as I can tell this bird is on the bottom of the pecking order and has not been happy about it)? It just Seems like most Sebrights this age look more rooster like already.

Or could I have a pullet who is crowing? I have only heard and seen this bird crow after the confirmed cockerel in the flock gets going.
