Best goose breed?

I would really like to get two geese in the next year or so. I mainly want them as pets. Can goose eggs be eaten? And is a male and a female or two females better? I know a gander would be aggressive during mating season. For a pet quality and best gosling-raising goose, what would be suggested? Thanks for any help

Goose eggs are delicious and if you want pets and don't want goslings then go for 2 females oh you want goslings? then you'll want a gander and a goose unless your going to buy goose eggs and incubate them yourself. Just about any goose breed make great parents, they all love babies Gander and goose.

Ok, thanks Miss Lydia. I like what I've read about buff geese, toulouse geese, and Sebastopol geese. Except, aren't Sebastopol geese pretty expensive?

I've never priced Sebbies so can't say but there is a Sebastopol thread here so you could post there and ask some breeders. I love my Buff and my Toulouse.
