I am looking for someone who could adopt my two hens. The Silkie is 11 months old and the Frizzle is two years old. I hatched the Silkie myself, and I took in the Frizzle when she was two days old. They have been our pets, but they really do need more room. My husband and I were in the process of buying a home with a beautiful backyard, but the inspection found too many problems so we had to back out. We have decided to downsize instead since the kids are gone. Needless to say, I only want to give them to someone who will love them like we do. We live about 30 miles outside of the Philadelphia area.

This is probably a long shot, but could you ship them (priority, express, etc) to SE Texas? I've got a good sized back yard, and they'll get to roam the yard when I'm home. Here's a pic of my coop; it's sitting on a 6" slab now.

That is a beautiful coop! I don't think I would want to send them anywhere due to the stress that puts them under during shipment.

Thank you for the offer though, and good luck with your new coop.

Hi! I'm in Newark DE and work in Wilmington not far from the PA state line. I have Silkie hen chicks and a mottled cochin chick so your two would fit right in! I have a very large enclosed coop and run attached to our backyard deck-it's well protected, roomy, and I can easily see out into it from the house to ensure everyone is safe and sound. I missed the opportunity to get a Frizzle and was excited to see your post! If you haven't rehomed your gals yet I would be happy (love!) to adopt them from you (and it's an easy drive!)

I found someone that would like to adopt them, but if anything changes I will contact you. Thank you so much for offering to help my babies out.
