I have a few roosters that I need to get rid of before winter. Currently they are about 12-13 weeks old. The breeds I have include: Silver Laced Wyandottes, Buff Orps and Black Australorp. At what age can I butcher for meat ? I was once told around 18-20 weeks but am wondering what experience you folks have... Any input will be appreciated.

You can butcher them at any age, but you will be more satisfied with the amount of meat when they are at least 18-20 weeks old.
