chicks won't go into the coop at night?

Ive just put my two 10 week old chicks into their outside home and they seem quite happy but will not go up the ramp and into the coop at dusk. I have to go out each night and put them in then close the door. Any tips on getting them to go into the coop themselves? Thanks :)

It just takes a few days. I think the best way for young ones is to lock them in the coop for a few days straight. My girls are around 20 weeks or so. I just got 2 new ones the other day and every night I had to grab those 2 and walk them to the coop at night and put them on their roost.

After 3 days my new EE had it down and put herself to bed but my BR took 2 additional nights but now goes to bed on her own. One of the most appealing throngs about chickens for me is that you don't have to babysit them too much. Feed them, water them and give them shelter and they'll thrive.
 
I had to put 2 of the 8 birds in the coop the second night on the roost.... after that, those 2 would go in the coop... 2 weeks later, all go in the coop...
To get them to climb the ramp, I lined it with scratch feed... they ate their way to the top of the ramp... then just sat there.... that's when I picked up 2 and put them on the roosts in the coop... I put feed on the ramps to the roosts also.... that helps.... the ramps are steep... they wouldn't just walk up them until there was feed on them....

Thankyou! I will persist for another week or so. They were hiding under the house bit which makes it even harder to catch them as its not very high so ive blocked that area off for a little while and hopefully soon they will tuck themselves in!! If not, i will lock them up for a few days but it seems so cruel :(

Well ive just popped my head out to find BOTH chickens up inside the coop!! So excited!!!!!
 
Not on the roost though, but one step at a time!? Do you think if they are not on the roost later I should put them up there?
