Good news!!!! I got home from school today and 3 of my chicks have hatched! 1 is currently hatching while I also have 3 new pips! Super happy about this since my duck eggs didn't make it:(

I have no idea what kind they are

just normal regular chickens haha but okay one chick has been hatching for atleast 4 hours that I know of and one just hatched in about an hour.. Should I help? Or not? He's so close he just can't pop it off!
 
My last silkie chick took 8 hours so I would just wait and see. I had to almost sit on my hand to not help lol She/he hatched successfully so I wouldn't worry yet
 
That's great, congrats!! :D

Sometimes it takes a long time to hatch, 4 hours is nothing to be concerned about. I'm sure the little one will make it out soon enough on his own.

Post pics when they're all out!

Congrats! As others have already said, just leave it be for now and let it work it's way out alone. 4 hours is very little time in chick hatching terms. Even though it feels like an ETERNITY for us humans standing on the outside and watching. Get LOTS of pics to show off when they are done too!
