HELP! With feeding and watering!

I am so confused! Some info I get says to feed and water chickens inside the coop, others say only in the run, others provide feed and water in both the run and coop! I live in Northern, WI so I have a feeling my chickens aren't really going to want to go out to the run (the run and coop are attached) to feed and drink, although they are all cold hardy breeds. Given the area we live in, what would be the best setup? Thanks,

I don't put food or water in my coop because it is too small, and wouldn't be sanitary, plus it would raise humidity. But my sister has a big walk-in coop, and it is obviously better to keep it dry in there than out in her uncovered run. So we do whatever is practical. Not sure of what best practices are.
 
I've always used the - food and water in the coop, treats fed in the run method. Given that it gets so hot here in the summertime my birds also have water buckets in their runs.
My coops are locked up tight and would be hard for predators or food scavengers to enter even during the daytime (except for a snake that once got in through the pop door), so food is kept in there. The treats I feed the chickens are cleaned up by the end of the day, so no food goes to waste.

That's what I'm leaning toward iwiw60, (both inside and out...at least during winter) however my coop is not nearly as large as yours.

My coop is only 5' x 8' .. the inside feed tubes are alone the short wall next to the pophole....what's the size of your setup?

My "hen house" is about 3' wide x 3-4' high (sloped roof) x 6' long. The house is actually self contained inside one of our garages. We cut a "pop door" into the garage so they an access the outside run.

If you want to use an inside feeder as well as outside, here's an idea for you. I have two small coops, one for my seramas and one for my call ducks. Solid bottom rabbit feeders mounted to the wall of the coop take up very little room.
