Molting ?

I just got this chickens and I'm not sure if they are just molting or something more?

Normal molting does not cause that kind of red, inflamed skin. Tractor Supply or most feed stores will carry Garden and Poultry Dust, or you can use Sevin dust to dust them all really well. Make sure you repeat the treatment every 7 to 10 days and you have to treat the coop as well. I prefer the Sevin spray for the coop since I find it easier to get it into the nooks and crannies where mites hide. You can also use Ivermectin, oral or topical to treat mites.
 
I would also consider this as feather-picking which can happen if hens are over crowded, fed too little protein (less than 16%) in the diet, or are bored with aggressive chickens. Look closely for lice and mites, first. Antipick lotions or any bad tasting creams such as Nustock, Bag Balm, or pine tar (very messy, but works) can be used on areas to prevent picking. BluKote may color the area to prevent pecking the red area.
