Hey guys! I'm new here so I thought Id introduce myself!

So I've had my pet chickens since Match 17th and I've learnt a lot about my feathered friends in that time span!

I started off with 15 chicks. 2 of which did not make it to adulthood:(. My other chickens luckily made it. 2 of my Plymouth-Barred Rocks turned out to be rather aggressive roosters! We decided to give them to our neighbors who happen to have 7 acres of running space behind their house! Perfect!!! One more chicken turned out to be a rooster but isn't as aggressive as the other roosters (Spade and Slash). This roosters name is Onyx, A black sex-linked rooster who is jet black! Our other chickens are fortunately hens.

All the chickens were doing well until 3 days ago. Sadly Jaycee, another black sex-link chicken, was hit by a car and passed away. We all will miss her dearly forever.

Since it is fall the tractors are going by, hawks flying over head, and it's getting cold! So I decided to keep my chickens inside, and because of what happened to Jaycee :(. Luckily the chickens have an outdoor play pen to still be outdoors.

The ground where I live is very very hard. It's hard for my chickens to take dirt baths in!!! So I made a little invention called "sirt". A combination of dirt, sand, pebbles, and bits of leaves. Put it all in a bucket, churn well, in you got sirt!!

Well that's all about me and my chickens...Well mostly my chickens, but yeah! Thanks for reading!

3 Plymouth-Barred Rock: Slash (Rooster, lives at neighbors), Spade (Rooster, also lives at neighbors) and Orchid (small hen, very very very noisy)

6 Black sex-links:
Jaycee (my little buddy, passed away, golden head and around neck, Very funny baching sounds!!!)
Irys ( small hen, golden-brown down chest with black polka dots, very stubborn, and very loud!!)
Android (In least way offensive very fat!, sounds like an android hence her name, jet black with golden specks down chest, very friendly, likes to be held all the time, scratches your foot if she wants attention)
Lainney (Medium sized hen, very quiet, jet black beside the gold on the sides if her head, very stubborn, when I sit on the picnic table she sits by me though)
Ivy ( Medium-large sized hen, very very pretty, gold runs down all her body, loves to be held while being fed corn, very confident chicken)
Onyx ( Large rooster, not very aggressive, scaredy chicken!, if held he refuses to cluck, weirdest crow ever, jet black)

4 brown Isosole chickens
Cander ( small hen, if you stand with a gap between your legs she will sit between them, loves to eat, brown with full brown on tips if wings)
Cooper ( large hen, very timid, loves to be held, takes way to many dirt baths!, a copper color hence her name)
Lily ( medium hen, light brown with white patches of feathers, clucks quietly when tired, likes to sit on my shoulder)
ButterCup [AKA ButterNut] ( medium chicken, we call her ButterNut sometimes because she always finds trouble, loves to play in the garage, when the car window was open she flew inside the car, very adventurous)
